Issued in 1995, it is one of the first licensed limited edition items to be produced. The helmet is limited to 1,000 and here is your chance to acquire one “complete” set. This DV helmet is in near fine to fine condition with no noticeable faults, defects, or damages. Due to its age (30 years), many of these helmets were susceptible to cracks, but this helmet is near flawless. In addition, this helmet is complete with 1 original shipper box, 2 original packaging foam, and 3 original Certificate of Authenticity, issued by Don Post. I used to own all the licensed limited edition DV helmets excluding Prop Shop’s Pyre helmet. I have to say, Don Post Deluxe is on par with EFX’s ANH Legend Edition. Fashioned out of fiberglass they had a wonderfully glossy appearance and at the time was a massive step-up in quality for a Star Wars movie collectible. It is a very accurate helmet cast from an original ESB helmet which only had one glaring fault – for some reason the grey/black colour scheme on the face plate was reversed – and this was believed to be at the request of Lucasfilm Licensing to differentiate them from an original prop.
