The design is based upon the iconic helmets of the elite Stormtrooper foot soldiers featured in Star Wars &#####x2122. Produced by New Zealand Mint as the second release of Niue’s Limited Edition Star Wars themed, Ultra High Relief series featuring the iconic helmets of key Star Wars characters. A glistening white sea of elite, helmeted foot soldiers fill the screen. Not one is unique, as every distinguishing trait is concealed within their full-body, armored suits. Each wears a white helmet that completely hides the fact that they even have individual identities. Every soldier is an undistinguishable unit that shares one purpose, defend the Empire. This helmet, and all it represents is what has inspired the design of this second release of the new ultra high relief, 3D helmet-shaped series: Star Wars Helmets. The ultra high relief minting of these coins has produced a highly-detailed coin that reveals nuances of the mask’s shape contours that would never be able to be displayed on a standard bullion coin, or even a basic high-relief offering.
