I bought this hand-made helmet at the Shepperton Design Studios in Twickenham (London) during one of my trips to the United Kingdom. I’m sad to separate from it, but I need to finance my debts. Below is a description from Andrew Ainsworth, the artist who originally created and fabricated many of the costume props for Star Wars A New Hope in 1977, as well as many of the biggest SciFi and Fantasy movie hits of the 1980’s, including Alien, Flash Gordon, Superman and Excalibur. The helmet was made by Andrew Ainsworth and is signed by him. Cast from the original 1976 moulds, the original range is the most accurate replica of the on-screen stormtroopers. The Hero helmet was used by the leading actors and incorporates a number of distinct facial characteristics. Small Frown [Hand Painted]. Made with white 2 mm Acrylic Capped ABS to match the original 1976 film colour tones.
